Whosoever will, come.
Our Mission:
It is our purpose at the Lancaster Road Church of God to build the Kingdom of God by and through building a community of faith by knowing God and making Him known.
We accomplish this through:
A lifting of hands
Worship
Surrender
Volunteering
A lifting of eyes
Focus on the will of God
Awareness of the harvest and its needs
Looking forward instead of back or down
A lifting of hearts
We will love what and who God loves
We will love our neighbor as ourselves and tend to their needs to the best of our ability as a body and as an individual
We will love God and let God love us
and lift us up.
God
We believe in One God, who is everlasting and eternal. We believe that He created the universe and all that inhabit it.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the virgin birth and the complete deity of Jesus Christ. We believe in the atoning sacrifice of Christ's death for the sins of the world. The literal resurrection of the body. Christ's second coming in bodily form to earth.
Bible
We believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible. It is the inspired Word of God and the only authority to how we should live our lives.
Salvation
We believe that all have sinned and all are in need of salvation. It is freely offered to all those who believe in Christ and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.
Water Baptism
We believe in the water immersion of a believer in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. We believe that it is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, and symbolic of the believer’s death to sin, burial of the old life, and new life in Christ.
Communion
The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience. We do this through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, remember the death and resurrection of Christ and anticipate His second coming.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. We believe that He is active in the church today.
Christian Living
We love God and we love others. We believe that a believer is set apart to live a life that positively impacts others, glorifies God, and leads others to Christ.
Church
The life of Christian discipleship calls for the fulfillment of our duties to the body of Christ. We unite regularly with other members of the church for the purpose of magnifying and praising God and hearing His Word.
Church of God
The Church of God was founded in 1886 upon the principles of Christ as they are revealed in the Bible, the Word of God. It has its foundation of faith and practice in the Scriptures and the vital experience of its constituents is scripturally oriented.
